Practical innovation approaches and development paths for a contemporary policy for sustainable development
The joint project INNOVA – "Practical innovation approaches and development paths for a contemporary policy for sustainable development" aims to provide a framework for innovative governance and administrative action that makes it possible to adequately address current and future challenges for environmental and sustainability policy and to achieve political and societal goals. The aim of the project is initially the identification and evaluation of promising approaches for innovative administrative action and, in a second step, their experimental implementation, i.e. the creation of an experimental setting in which employees can transfer the potential of these approaches into their own practice and learn. The focus is therefore on (administrative) actions and work routines Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU) and its subordinate agencies as well as the corresponding procedures, instruments and structures. Employee development is an important facet of organizational development. Therefore, it seems important to us to also consider the organizational culture and to support the breaking up of "mindsets".
