- Cover letter: In your cover letter, please let us know which position at Fraunhofer ISI (please always state the reference number) you are applying for or which areas of our institute's work you are particularly interested in. Convince us with your cover letter of your qualifications and your motivation to work at our institute. In your cover letter, you should establish a connection between your previous experience and the requirements of our job advertisement. If possible, your cover letter should not exceed one A4 page.
- Curriculum vitae: Your CV should be clearly structured and contain information about yourself, your education, professional experience, knowledge and skills (foreign languages, PC skills or other additional qualifications).
- Certificates: For applicants for an internship, a diploma, bachelor's or master's thesis or work as a student assistant, we require documents such as a high school diploma, current transcript of records, intermediate diploma, internship certificates and a list of the ECTS points achieved to date. If you are a graduate/career starter or experienced professional, please enclose all your degree certificates and references with your documents.
- Work samples/publications: If you are applying for an academic position and have already published, a list of your previous publications is of interest to us.

The job interviews

In the final step of your application process, you will get to know our institute management in a short interview.
- Procedure for non-scientific job interviews: The application process in the non-scientific field (administration) begins with a smaller round in which we can get to know you and clarify any questions about the vacancy together. You will also get to know your future team colleagues. In the last step of your application process, you will get to know our institute management in a short interview.
Interviews can take place virtually or on site.
