Ariane Voglhuber-Slavinsky has been a researcher at the Competence Center for Foresight in the field of foresight for businesses and industry associations since April 2018. Her work focuses on trend and scenario analyses, roadmapping, and strategic processes for regional development. She is also responsible for conducting future dialogues that involve stakeholders and citizens. She manages and leads numerous projects for the European Commission, industry clients, associations, and federal ministries.

She studied Renewable Resources and Bioenergy as well as Agribusiness at the University of Hohenheim in Stuttgart. She gained special expertise in conversion technologies and environmental and sustainability management. Prior to that, she completed her diploma in Health Management in Tourism at FH Joanneum (Austria).

In her doctoral research at the University of Hohenheim, she focused on integrating biodiversity and ecosystem services (BES) into decision-making processes, ensuring that the valuation options remain robust against future conditions. The work examined various valuation options, both monetary and non-monetary, and analyzed their suitability under future frameworks. She emphasizes the necessity of local actions and their integration into the European agri-food system.
