Researcher
Philip Friebel has been working as a researcher in the Innovation Acceptance Unit since April 2022, initially for the Fraunhofer Center for International Management and Knowledge Economy. Since January 1, 2025, the group has been part of Fraunhofer ISI in Leipzig.
From 2011 to 2014, he worked for Presse Monitor GmbH as a market analyst conducting market research for international corporations. From 2014 to 2017, he worked as a research assistant and was Deputy Head of the Research and Business Accelerator at Fraunhofer IMW. He supported companies (start-ups, spin-offs, small and medium-sized enterprises) in international projects with individual cooperation and market entry strategies.
He then worked as a research assistant, lecturer and coach at the SEPT Competence Center at Leipzig University until the beginning of 2022. He coordinated international innovation and technology transfer projects and lectured in the fields of innovation management, international marketing and Lean Six Sigma.
The focus of his work is on all aspects of innovation management according to international standards, including strategy development, process design and empowerment of employees and management. Philip Friebel is a certified market analyst of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft and Meyer Industry Research GmbH. He completed the Innovation Readiness Series of the IC2 Institute at the University of Texas in Austin, USA. Philip Friebel also completed the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt training program of the Dräxlmaier Group (Automotive).
