Project

Integrated research: A critical analysis and practical scientific exchange on the example of the research field Human-Computer Interaction (INTEGRAM)

The joint project INTEGRAM intends to foster the change of paradigm of scientific support for integrated research in the research field of Human-Computer Interaction. The analysis of ethical, legal, social and economic aspects is intended to be integrated into the technology development process, rather than just to accompany it. Thereby the development of new technologies should get more reflexive, ethically sensitive and economically promising.

In practice it turns out to be a major challenge to bring together the knowledge and practice of various disciplines in a productive way. This requires in-depth studies in the various specialized sciences itself as part of a concept of integrated research.

Based on a professional scientific analysis in interdisciplinary discourse INTERGRAM will develop a practical concept, which is being tested in three cases as well as debates and will be transferred to scientific and industrial communities. Fraunhofer ISI will primarily contribute the economic perspective for these working steps.
