Researcher
Aaron Rosa has been working as a researcher in the Competence Center Foresight since June 2016.
He has been a working alternative futures and foresight researcher for the past 10 years. As a research fellow with the Hawaii Research Center for Futures Studies, he participated in the organization and implementation of the Hawaii 2050 initiative – a state wide, participatory alternative futures workshop that included immersive scenarios, artifacts from the future, and facilitated visioning exercises. He has also designed and implemented workshops with the East West Center in Myanmar (2013-2014), the Prime Minister’s Office of Singapore (2014), the United Nations Development Program (2014-2015), and the European Commission Joint Research Centre (2014-2015). Aaron earned his M.A. and PhD in Political Science with a focus area of Alternative Futures from the University of Hawai’i at Manoa with James A. Dator as the chair of his dissertation committee.
