Researcher
Luna Lütz studied mechanical engineering majoring in energy engineering (B.Sc./M.Sc.) at RWTH Aachen University. During her studies and while writing her bachlor and master thesis, she worked at the Institute of Climate and Energy Systems - Jülich System Analysis (ICE-2) at the Jülich Research Centre. She worked on the potential for the upscaling of renewable energies, the global hydrogen process chain and negative emissions. Her master's thesis entitled ‘Mind the Gap - the global demand for negative emissions’ in the DACStorE project, determined the negative emissions required to comply with various warming limits.
Since July 2024, she is a research associate in the Demand Analyses and Projections business unit of the Competence Centre Energy Technologies and Energy Systems at Fraunhofer ISI.
