Die ISI-Seminarreihe bündelt spannende Themen aus dem Portfolio des Fraunhofer ISI und bietet in regelmäßigen Abständen Gelegenheit zu Diskussion und Austausch.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has led to a changing environment posing many challenges that call for innovative solutions. This presentation focuses on two issues.

First, it aims a characterizing the types of innovation that have been introduced in the time of crisis. Using topic modeling we characterize the innovations by their contents and by what needs they address. Additionally, we explore the temporal dynamics of innovation during the first months of the pandemic.

Second, we explore particular organizational actors’ innovation response time to changing needs triggered by the pandemic. To support the robustness of our analysis we use a specification curve analysis.
