Wasser in der Morgenstadt | Water in the City of the Future

What role do urban quarters play as a level of action for urban climate adaptation options? How can active urban water management contribute to future-oriented urban development? Networking and exploring opportunities for cooperation between cities, research, as well as housing industry and urban water management are of fundamental importance in order to make better use of resources and develop climate-adapted urban systems.

The Morgenstadt Network invites on September 30 and October 1, 2021 to the bilingual digital conference “Wasser in der Morgenstadt | Water in the City of the Future”. The Fraunhofer Institutes ISI, IAO and IGB present good and best practices with an international orientation and identify opportunities for cooperation.

Keynote presentations, experiences and research questions as well as a workshop regarding a range of topics on urban water management (including requirements and adaptation options in the housing stock, options for successful implementation as well as good and best practices from European municipalities)
Workshop on the use and possibilities of new tools for the successful implementation of climate adaptation measures
Digital 360-degree excursion through showcase examples of sustainable neighborhood development in Hamburg

Costs

The event is free of charge for members of the Morgenstadt Network. External interested parties can attend the lectures free of charge and, for a fee, also the workshop on project development, interactive exchange formats and the two excursions.
