Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research ISIScientific Officer to the Director
After a master's degree in communication studies at the University of Passau, Mara Schwind subsequently worked as a research assistant at the Chair of Science Communication from 2021 to 2024. In addition to teaching activities and projects for stakeholders within and outside of the scientific community, she conducted research on various communication studies issues using qualitative and quantitative social science methods. In her ongoing doctorate, she is investigating how scientists are coping with negative reactions in social media. From 2023 to 2024, she also worked as a research associate at the Bavarian Research Institute for Digital Transformation in Munich. Since July 2024, she has been part of the scientific staff of the institute's director at Fraunhofer ISI in Karlsruhe.
