Claudia Domel

Researcher

Claudia Domel has been working as a researcher in the Crowd Innovation Unitsince March 2007, initially for the Fraunhofer Center for International Management and Knowledge Economy IMW in Leipzig. Since January 1, 2025, the unit has been part of Fraunhofer ISI in Leipzig. In strategic cooperation with the German Federal Environmental Foundation (DBU), she has been the DBU's special representative for Central and Eastern Europe since 2009, overseeing its international funding activities with a focus on innovative model environmental projects. From 2001 to 2007, Claudia Domel was project manager for Central and Eastern Europe at the International Transfer Center for Environmental Technology (ITUT), Leipzig, in the field of waste management. Claudia Domel studied language mediation for Spanish and Russian with specialized qualifications in nature conservation, environmental protection and civil engineering in Leipzig, Granada and Moscow.
