Dr. Norman Bedtke

Researcher

Dr. Norman Bedtke has been working as a researcher in the Crowd Innovation Unit since May 2019, initially for the Fraunhofer Center for International Management and Knowledge Economy IMW in Leipzig. Since January 1, 2025, the unit has been part of Fraunhofer ISI in Leipzig. Prior to this, he studied economics at the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena, specializing in innovation economics and graduating with a degree in economics in 2009. In his subsequent work as a research assistant at the Helmholtz Center for Environmental Research in Leipzig, his research focused on social science water research. In his doctoral thesis, he analyzed the transformation of network-based infrastructure systems using the example of the German water industry from an institutional economics perspective.
