Scientific support and networking of projects for the development and practical testing of data trust models in the fields of research and industry
Since the beginning of 2022, the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) has been funding various projects for the design and testing of individual data trust models in pilot operation in the fields of research and industry. Currently, projects are being carried out in the application areas of health/medicine, energy/environment, smart city, mobility and logistics as well as agriculture and forestry. The funding guideline is embedded in the framework of the Federal Government's data strategy, in which the testing of new forms of cooperation by means of data trustees is anchored as a political goal.
Currently, the BMBF is awarding a contract for a "scientific monitoring and networking of projects for the development and practical testing of data trust models in the fields of research and industry". The purpose of the accompanying research is to accompany the projects through research on four crosscutting topics and networking.
