Gabriel Däßler joined Fraunhofer ISI in March 2023 as a research associate at the Competence Center Emerging Technologies. He studied political science at University of Erlangen/Nuremberg (FAU), where he received his bachelor degree in 2019. Within his Master's program, Governance of Technology and Innovation (GovTech) at RWTH Aachen University, his focus was on governance of societal transformation, sustainable development and innovation policy. In his Master thesis, he analyzed regulation preferences from political, economic and civil-society actors on due diligence in global supply chains.
During his studies, he spent one semester at Yildiz Technical University in Istanbul and gained practical experiences in the publishing industry, the evaluation of political funding programs as well as in the German development cooperation.
