Dr. Luis Tercero Espinoza

Luis TERCERO leads the Business Unit Raw Materials. He has managed or been actively involved in a wide range of projects (German, EU, Industry) related to flows of raw materials, critical raw materials, raw material supply and demand, changing demand through emerging technologies, raw materials policy and resource efficiency. He is a member of the Operational Group of the European Innovation Partnership (EIP) on Raw Materials and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Entwicklungsfonds Seltene Metalle (ESM Foundation, Bern, Switzerland), dedicated to support research and development activities in the field of Rare and Critical Elements.

Luis received his formal training in chemical engineering (B.Sc., M.Sc., Dr.-Ing.) in Nicaragua, U.S.A. and Germany.
