Incentive Mechanisms for Energy Efficiency (EE) in Companies in Ukraine
The energy intensity of Ukraine’s economy, measured as energy consumption in relation to gross domestic product, is three to four times higher than the EU average. The high energy costs put a strain on companies and reduce their competitiveness.
In order to change this paradigm and to support the energy efficient modernization of Ukrainian companies, the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) has commissioned the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ) to carry out the project Advisory Services for Energy Efficiency (EE) in Companies.
The objective is to provide technical support:
Workshops with all relevant stakeholders took place in Kiev.
The main inputs of the work can be found in the Green Paper "Stimulating industrial enterprises for energy efficiency and climate protection": https://regulation.gov.ua/book/134-stimuluvanna-promislovih-pidpriemstv-do-energoefektivnosti-ta-zahistu-klimatu
