Anne Kesselring joined Fraunhofer ISI in April 2023 as a senior researcher in the competence center for Energy Technology and Energy Systems. Previously, she obtained her Ph.D. in economics at Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg (thesis committee: Thiess Büttner and Veronika Grimm). The subject of her doctoral thesis was energy efficiency in the European Union. Her work focuses on the empirical study of policy instruments using microeconomic methods. Her background is in the social sciences: she completed a Master in Development Economics & International Studies also in Nuremberg, and obtained a Bachelor in Business Administration at the University of Oregon.
