Nicolas Kawerau, M.Sc.

Researcher

Nicolas Kawerau joined the Energy Policy business unit of the Department of Energy Policy and Energy Markets at Fraunhofer ISI as a researcher in March 2025. Prior to this, he studied mechanical engineering with a focus on energy and environmental technology at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. In his master's thesis at the Center for Solar Energy and Hydrogen Research, he focused on alkaline water electrolysis and then worked for two years at the German Aerospace Center as a researcher in the field of low-temperature electrolysis for the production of green hydrogen.
