Energy Policy

Designing energy policy to be sustainable is an essential part of the comprehensive transformation of energy systems as pursued in Germany’s Energiewende and also in Europe and worldwide by setting medium- and long-term energy and climate targets. The Business Unit Energy Policy is concerned with designing and evaluating energy policy strategies and instruments, monitoring energy policy targets and the impacts of energy policy instruments on growth and employment as well as the competitiveness and innovative strength of the economy.
