Andrea Herbst studied Economics at the Karl-Franzens University Graz (Austria) and the Paris X Nanterre University (France) with the main focus on economic policy, environmental economics, and econometrics. Her master’s thesis examined the relationship of climate change, water resources, and security in the Middle East. From January 2011 to April 2012, research associate at the Institute for Resource Efficiency and Energy Strategies in Karlsruhe. May 2012 until June 2015 scholarship holder of the Helmholtz International Research School “Energy Scenarios – Construction, Assessment, Impact“. Since May 2012 researcher at the Competence Center Energy Technology and Energy Systems at the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research ISI. December 2017 obtained her doctorate at the Europa Universität Flensburg.
